Those who have wavy hair might not feel as represented in The Sims 4 community, well as much as those with straight hair. So it's time to put a stop to it with the Wavves Hairstyle mod. This modern update takes a different approach than the rest by adding hair with waves to the game. Reset the Sims 4 folder. Some users have also got success by resetting the Sims 4 folder. To try it out, move or rename the SIm 4 folder in the C: Users Username Documents Electronic Arts The Sims 4 directory. The next time you launch the game, a new Sims folder will be created. Now try a new Save just for testing purposes, without adding any mods.

Added the ability to choose the hair color when dying hair. Added Hair Quirks system. Sims can now choose the length of the hair upon getting a haircut. NPC Sims are not affected by hair growth by default. Added customizable hair growth speed options to all Sims under cheats, activate testingcheats and Shift + Click on the Sim.

The Sims 4 added a huge base game update on Tuesday, which added bunk beds to the game, among several other changes. As often is the case, custom content has had a few glitches.

Custom content chairs have been rendered pretty much useless after the March update with many players reporting that their Sims cannot use them.

The reasons for this strange behaviour is the possible addition of modular furniture in the future, but that's a discussion for another article.

Sims Mods Not Working

For now, we'll look specifically at how to fix your CC chairs that broke with The Sims 4 March update.

Remember, though, creators might also update their content themselves, so if you don't want to play Mods MacGyver, you should check with your favourite creators about updates to their content.

At first glance, it seems as if the issue is only impact dining chairs and only when dining chairs are slotted into a table. The routing bubble will appear above a Sim's head if you try to use the CC chairs slotted into a dining table.

Not all chairs are affected, so you will have to test your chairs and choose the ones you want to apply the fix to. Keep in mind that The Sims 4 Studio might also release a batch fix for this (still being investigated, though).

However, if you want to use some of your favourite custom content chairs before any of those fixes, here's how to do it.

The solution was posted by the modular queen herself, Ravasheen. Several CC creators worked together to find a way a fix quickly. Ravasheen posted the solution on her website, saying: 'Thanks to Little Dica, Mizore Yukii, SimVerses, and other creators in the Creator Musings and Deaderpool discord channel for helping find the fix!

'Chairs now need to have 32-bit instances. New chair objects can be made by doing a ‘Selective Clone' and check the '32 Bit Instances' box at the bottom. Old CC will likely have to be recloned to be compatible with the new changes. But FYI it might be worth the wait to see if there is a batch fix from EA or CC creating software.'

This is will be an arduous fix though and if you are not familiar with The Sims 4 Studio, this will be quite a way to learn. If you want to fix some stuff yourself, here's how to do it.

First, you will need to download and install The Sims 4 Studio. Before you do anything else, make sure to back up your files, that includes saves and mods folders.

Once you have installed S4S, move the original package file of your CC char into the recolourable folder for The Sims 4 Studio. This is found in the same directory you installed S4S to.

Open S4S and Choose a selective clone from the object section as shown in the screenshot (credit to Ravasheen) above. You will now reach a screen with all of the game objects. Here you need to search for the package file of the broken chair you want to fix.

Clone the object and check 32 bit then save the file over the old package file with the same naming convention and put it in your mods folder again. This should work in most cases – but each chair will have to be done individually, for now. It is important to keep the same name of the original chair and to save over the file to prevent having to replace every CC chair already in existence.
